Beautiful websites

Every year at BTTR we search for the gems on the web. Beautiful websites, or the best websites of the past year according to our technical and creative web specialists.

We use the following criteria:

• The website is innovative: it uses the latest web standards/technologies.
• The website is innovative in style and appearance.

Summarized in one sentence:
The websites are beautiful visually, beautiful functionally and beautiful in operation, and therefore deserve the label "most beautiful websites of 2022.

• www.hellomonday.com
  An award winning website using parallax scrolling in a very visually appealing way. It certainly belongs in the list of most beautiful websites.
• exhibitions.guggenheim.org/zero/#/artwork
  Giving art the platform it deserves. Making online the offline collection attractive. Superbly done!
• www.airbnb.nl
  Functionally a real gem: for example, how the map is displayed when you see multiple apartments in a list. On mobile, this beautiful website also works very nicely. Not to mention the App.
• www.timing.nl
  In December 2021, this site was voted best website of the year. A public award that judges on content, navigation, recommendation intention and design. So a great website according to the Dutch public.
• www.piratecode.ru/en/
  Beautiful large colorful illustrations have been used here. You can find the pirate theme throughout the animations.
• https://admireamaze.debijenkorf.nl/
  Actually a campaign for the 2021 holiday season, but it should not go unmentioned in this list either. The visitor is taken into a wonderful 3D world, guided by a bee.
• www.ah.nl
  Albert Heijn is constantly working to have one of the most beautiful websites in the Netherlands, and they are succeeding quite well! Again, the mobile display is just fine.
• www.toogoodtogo.nl
  Clean design, without too much fuss. Which makes it a nice and clear website.
• www.intothearctic.ca
  An initiative of Greenpeace. A very nice way to draw attention to the problems concerning 'The Artic'. And responsive too.
• www.dopper.com/nl
  Playful design in which the CTA buttons move with the water theme in a fun way.
